Koskei says unscrupulous people using his name for criminal activities in govt offices » Capital News

NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 4 – Head of Public Service Felix Koskei has condemned unknown individuals he claimed are using his name to extort money from government agencies.

In a post on Friday, Koskei said the period of searching for employment and the government services using senior state officials is past.

“It has regrettably come to my attention that unscrupulous criminal elements are moving from one government office to the next, intimidating state officials and extorting money in my name,” he said.

The head of public service called on the Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries as well as the CEOs of state corporations to be on the look for the criminals.

He advised that they notify the appropriate authorities about the situation so that they can take appropriate action.

“The era of criminals taking advantage of gullible Kenyans seeking jobs and government services by misusing names of senior state officials is long gone, and firm action will be taken against these elements,” he added.
