African football stars compete for 2023 CAF awards.


The D-day for the 2023 CAF awards is upon us with top African global stars vying for gongs.

The main award, the Men’s Football of the Year has three nominees with Liverpool and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, Napoli and Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and PSG and Morocco star Achraf Hakimi vying for the accolade.

There are other several categories including the Women’s Player of the year, coach of the year (women and men), club of the year, young player of the year and goal of the year among others.

The ultimate winner of each category is decided following votes from a panel consisting of CAF Technical Committee, media professionals from Member Associations, Head Coaches & Captains of Member Associations and clubs involved in the group stages of the Interclub competitions.

The Awards Gala will take place at the Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, Morocco and will be attended by among others several African legends.
